
Prism Executive have partnered with a homegrown Irish Solar Developer who have expanded on a global scale over the past number of years. This Solar & Storage Developer organisation, through Prism Executive, are seeking to appoint a Senior Solar Construction Manager on to their global senior leadership team.
Due to sustainable growth and expansion across their Construction Management Services team, this is a new role within the business taking lead of the full construction porfolio of the organisation.In this role you will manage the on-site construction activities for the project pipeline. You will establish sound CDM standards, systems and procedures for all construction activities as well as prepare, manage and report on project construction milestones, budgets, cash flows and program at a portfolio level.
You will have the opportunity to support the recruitment and co-ordination of on-site construction management teams and co-ordinate with wider project delivery team to enhance the development and delivery of the project pipeline to energisation by providing guidance throughout the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
To be successful in the role you will have competency and experience in the Construction Management of Renewable Energy projects, the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders effectively and be commercially astute and process driven.
What you will do:
Co-ordinate and manage close working relationships with external contractors, consultants, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders throughout the construction process.
Proactively identify and solve problems as they arise, taking preventative measures to avoid risks to the project schedule and budget. Manage and report on deviations from project schedules, budgets or scope at portfolio level.
Provide technical advice to the senior management team to ensure all construction management factors during the build process are appropriately considered and risk assessed and are in compliance with Construction, Health & Safety and Grid Code standards and legislation.
Support the development of tender documentation and review, in conjunction with the wider team, contractor designs, processes and commercial proposals.
Support the negotiation of efficient and cost-effective contracts for project delivery where required
Co-ordinate Owner’s Engineer services on site
Support and influence the development and growth of the wider project delivery team
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Energy Engineering or related discipline
8+ years’ experience working in renewable energy
Proven track record of construction management and site experience in the construction of large-scale Solar PV plants is essential
Evidence of successfully managing multiple projects to demanding deadlines
Strong technical knowledge all relevant Construction and Health & Safety standards and regulations across the UK and Ireland
Knowledge of the AC and DC electrical design of solar PV plants, energy storage and grid connection methodologies
Strong commercial, technical and safety conscious approach to risk vs reward measures
Proficient in communication, resource management and the use of software, particularly Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD
Valid driver's license for UK & Ireland
