Prism Executive have partnered with a global aviation services company to appoint a Logistics Manager for their Purchasing division. The appointee will report into the Supply Chain Manager / Line Maintenance Manager and will have a team of 11 reporting into them, sitting on a global team of 70. Globally, 3000 employees with 51 different nationalities. The Group’s vision is to be the aviation service provider of choice through excellence, experience, and expertise.

The purpose of the Logistics Manager role is to plan and coordinate the ordering and distribution of products, parts and accessories for Supply Chain, COE or assigned program.


Experience

  • Demonstrated experience of logistics problems, applications and distribution systems.

  • 5+ years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance materials purchasing/logistics.

  • Experience of Stock Control, Contract negotiation and management, purchasing, logistics and shipping including customs import and export and End Use. EASA Part 145.

  • Proficient in the use of the AMOS system will be an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate and timely distribution consistent with good inventory (spares and tooling) control.

  • Comply with the relevant sections of EASA Part 145 regulation, MOE and company procedures requirements with regard to procurement, storage and distribution of Aircraft spare parts and tooling.

  • Manage distribution network functions to achieve proper inventory levels, including warehousing and traffic strategies.

  • Manage logistics personnel and activities for assigned sites to best support operations and/or maintenance requirements.

  • Collaborate with site, regional, and project leadership, including operations and maintenance management, to develop or revise plans, policies, and procedures for logistics support in area of responsibility.

  • Pursue optimal performance from assigned resources with consideration of time, cost, and customer (government) objectives.

  • Develop and brief site performance reports, identify issues, and resolve concerns; Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process.

  • Lead, motivate and develop the team members providing regular performance feedback, in order to maximise business results, employees’ satisfaction and team productivity.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or equivalent

  • Proficient in MS Office and fluent in English and local language
