Due to rapid pace of growth within Group, Prism Executive have been retained by a Global Pharmaceutical client to appoint a Business Development Director to scale their European business. The role will be based in Ireland, have global group remit, and will hold a seat at the senior leadership table. A critical appointment to the business, the role holder will make massive inroads across the global group ecosystem instilling and building a best in class division, highly skilled stakeholders relationship management and be seen as the subject matter expert within the business, across all geographies and markets.

Working with the global C-Suite team, this person will develop and lead a strategy of growth within the European business, driving business to achieve the goals agreed. Managing the performance of region, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by the CEO and Board. Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with C-SuiteT to ensure continued development of the Group and Business Unit.

Experience & Skills:

  • Essential experience of successfully building an international business from greenfield.

  • The ability to effectively communicate a compelling vision for the future in a way that brings others on board.

  • A seasoned decision maker with good judgement and the experience to understand the potential impact of decisions on the other areas of the business

  • Has led negotiations with key clients on the most complex of projects

  • The ability to effectively manage performance levels of individuals, teams subcontractors and partners

  • The ability to think strategically when assessing project plans

  • Is experienced in actively promoting organisational learning and facilitates the transfer of knowledge

  • Has the willingness to drive an agenda of continuous improvement and a determination to succeed
