HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | HR CONSULTING | CORK



Prism Executive have been retained by a global HR services client to identify and appoint a Head of Business Development into their Irish business. The role will be based in their Cork office, will have a strong focus on implementing a best-in-class Business Development and Sales framework supporting the wider business across various geoghraphies. The role will support the global senior leadership team, strategic agenda, participating in change initiatives and continuous improvements enhancing the overall service offering and working to proactively ensure value.


A critical appointment to the senior leadership team in Ireland, the role holder will make massive inroads across the groups ecosystem instilling a best-in-class business development processes, be seen as the subject matter expert and influence internal and external stakeholders across all geographies and markets. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients, and driving strategic initiatives to support the company’s growth objectives. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.


Our client is a global provider of assessment and development tools and consulting-services for talent identification, recruitment, assessment, and workforce analytics/deployments. Their focus is on excellent service delivery and continuous innovation engineered to optimise organisational strategies for the recruitment, selection and development of people while addressing major areas of talent and workforce strategies such as team building, organizational and job structuring, leadership succession, organizational culture, and volume assessment of candidates and employees.


Key responsibilities:

Enhance the organization's image and growth through relationship building, marketing, sales, project management, and client support.

  • Analysing and expanding business operations toward sustained growth.

  • Understand the Skylab delivery platform, including test nominations, report generation, data downloads, proctoring, and e-learning.

  • Understand all the assessment products.

  • Address the needs of corporate and consulting customers.

  • Handle client presentations and conferences.

  • Test new products and IT solutions, collaborate with staff, and ensure data security and confidentiality.

  • Performing competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share.

  • Identifying new clients by researching and creating networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the psychometric industry.

  • Strong track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
