COMMERICIAL FORECASTING & QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD | DISTRIBUTION | WESTMEATH

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Commercial Forecasting Lead to deliver our S&OP, commercial forecasting modelling, associated supply chain activities, demand planning process, inventory and product life cycle management and be a key contributor within an integrated business planning environment.

 

This role is critical to ensuring accurate product, customer, commercial and financial forecasting, stock management, availability across the business and ultimate delivery of commercial objectives. As such this role will operate and both a strategic and tactical level.

 

The ideal candidate will be degree educated with proven experience in the OTC pharmacy or FMCG industry with a excellent understanding of consumer demand cycles and latest / best in class S&OP, statistical modelling, IBP processes and procedures. In addition, they will also bring exceptional analytical, commercial, cross-functional collaboration and IT skills. They will have the ability to bring commercial insight, statistical analysis and rigour to support decision-making and business growth. This is a hands on role to build the forecast and associated processes as well as leading the more technical discussions as part of an IBP cycle.

 

In addition they will also be responsible for Quality Assurance administration. This role reports to the Operations Manager.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain or related discipline.

  • 10+ years of S&OP, IBP, demand planning or forecasting experience in the OTC pharmacy or FMCG industry or another consumer products business.

  • Strong understanding of retail cycles, seasonality, product development timelines, and assortment planning.

  • Knowledge of total supply chain and constraints, including warehousing and logistics, is a strong asset.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP, MRP systems and forecasting software.

  • Superior communication skills to inspire confidence, influence and build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with managing demand across multiple sales channels (wholesale, e-commerce, retail).

  • Experience in statistical forecasting and assumption based forecasting.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Experience working with large data sets and drawing actionable insights.

  • AI experience an asset and its application in commercial forecasting and supply chain.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with creative and operational teams.

  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders (both internally and externally).

  • Ability to work under own initiative, results orientated.

  • Understanding of quality assurance processes, including QA documentation and GMP/GDP compliance, would be beneficial.
