FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER- DUBLIN - FMCG



A global drinks plc are seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join their commercial finance team. Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager the role holder will be responsible for partnering with the marketing team assisting them in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and reporting on trading KPIs for all brands associated with the team, negotiating distribution agreements for each brand and partnering with the brand dispense team. The role holder will be responsible for creating and presenting business cases and financial planning for new product launches and the financial and commercial performance of existing marketing campaigns/promotions across the brand portfolio. They must hold natural behavioural competencies of delivery of high-quality results when achieving KPIs and be aware of the market eco system when identifying investment opportunities. Excellent emotional and commercial intelligence; clear communicator; an active collaborator and business partner to all functions of the organisation and ultimately a team player.


Purpose of the role

  • Partner with the marketing team and brand managers to deliver growth in brands

  • Partner with the brand dispense team to deliver the optimal level of service to our customers

  • Provide all relevant financial insight and financial data to the marketing team, brand dispense team and Ireland Commercial Finance team

  • Analyse performance of brands and conduct modelling for new brand initiatives and launch of new brands or packs.

  • Prepare 1 year and 3-year forecasts for brands and brand initiatives

  • Constant review of optimal customer footprint and adjusting of brand dispense model to ensure that business is maximizing profitability

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partner with marketing team and brand dispense team

  • Prepare 1 year and 3-year plans for all brands and compile KPIs for each brand

  • Work with category and insights team and conduct analysis to identify areas for brand growth

  • Provide finance information to agency brand partners/brand owners

  • Modelling of new brand opportunities/distribution partnerships

  • Building business cases for new product development/launch of new packs and assisting with the launch of new brands and packs

  • Conduct review of brand performance on a monthly and quarterly basis and working with commercial finance team and commercial team to develop corrective actions plans where appropriate.

  • Business partner with brand dispense team to understand optimal routes, optimal customer base and optimal model to deliver first class service to our customers.

  • Be the owner of all financial data relating to brands and brand dispense

  • Tracking of all spend relating to marketing and brand dispense and understanding variances to Budget/Forecast

  • Month-end accounting work relating to your area


Qualifications and Technical competencies

Education

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA; ACCA)

  • Degree level qualification in relevant subject

Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial awareness and business understanding

  • Experienced in challenging the status quo and ways of working

  • Inquisitive and questioning mind and motivated by adding value

  • Ability to work cross functionally

  • Dedicated to providing user friendly and useful information

  • Strong work ethic

  • Previous of analytical experience in financial analysis, accounting or related discipline

  • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and experience of PowerBI preferred
