A global accounting membership body have retained Prism Executive to appoint a Business Development and Engagement Lead to join their Commercial team. The appointee will report into the Head of Country and will be accountable for the identification and development of high impact partnerships with universities and learning providers resulting in strong recruitment, progression, retention and education outcomes in line with the organisations growth and brand objectives.
The role holder will lead and co-ordinate a community of Business Relationship Managers and Executives in the development of existing and potential education partnerships with Universities and Learning Providers– this may but does not always involve line management of the resource.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
Lead the creation and execution of the engagement plan for education partnerships in order to deliver agreed KPIs and outcomes
Lead the identification and implementation of opportunities to grow the business through education partnerships ensuring a clear and mutually beneficial proposition
Identify opportunities for membership recognition in education and qualification frameworks, working with colleagues from global teams to leverage these
Aligned to growth expectations and strategy, determines which education partners should be prioritised both within the market and across borders
Own, monitor and drive the achievement of key performance indicators and outcomes for the education partners
Engagement
Personally lead relationships with key education partners, ensuring these are appropriately developed to deliver and exceed agreed KPIs and outcomes
Ensure that multi-level relationship plans are in place for existing and potential education partners
Leads the development of a community of education partners to identify and communicate insights to help improve global value propositions and optimise growth opportunities
Works with colleagues from other specialist teams to make high value connections between partners and optimise the membership bodies ecosystem
Lead the education community to ensure that global solutions, content and expertise are leveraged and consistently implemented
Work with national bodies and regulators to support their efforts in improving local qualifications, thereby enhancing market position and reputation
Work with education partners to ensure readiness for changes to the qualification and other products and services
Leadership & Management
Leads and inspires a community of business relationship management professionals by role modelling the behaviours, building employee engagement, promoting diversity and inclusion and effective performance and development support
Reports regularly on progress through the appropriate reporting mechanisms on agreed KPIs and outcomes linked to the balanced scorecard

Accountable to the Country/ Cluster/ Portfolio Head for the achievement of objectives, KPIs and outcomes for education partners
Leads a community of business relationship management resources
Works closely with senior colleagues in-market and regionally to maximise the value of education partner relationships
Works with other global teams to leverage global solutions to meet the needs of education partners e.g. Content Development & Commercialisation, Partnerships & Recognition, Professional Qualifications, Professional Insights, Brand & Marketing Communications
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience in business development and relationship management ideally in an education environment
In depth understanding of the financial education and skills landscape
In depth understanding of the qualification, products and services
Ability to lead and inspire a community of business relationships employees
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term, high quality, trusted relationships up to and including board level
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Excellent networking, influencing and negotiation skills
Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to plan and organise work to meet stretching targets
A global perspective – experience of working in or with an international organisation
